Scarborough, on the Gold Coast of the North East, has had its first organising meeting for this years Software Freedom Day.
After a bad experience a few years ago when it rained we have moved inside. We have booked some space in Scarborough's Main Library on Veron Road. The downstairs foyer area has been booked, together with a three panel table top stand, this year I intend to remain warm and dry.
We have all of the week leading up to SFD and the day in the library. I we try to get something in the local newspaper this year!
We also try to get the Ryedale LUG interested in having an event in Malton (UK).
Promotional material is being produced, blank disks stockpiled.
