Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Open Source network (SUST OSN) has evolved to support the free and open source software to the university students. It is taking a part to help the students in learning and using open source software and tools. It has opened a door to the students. Now they can realize that software can be developed or customized to use as they need. Where as other software technologies doesn’t support this wide area development facilities.
Through the SUST OSN students has come to know about various types of Operating Systems. They also found that these open source systems such as - Linux and Unix based distributions have overcome all real time challenges - virus, security, stability and many more.
