OSST team goal is to provide users with other options to expensive software as well as OS. We plan to do this by providing education, through workshop, instructions and youtube instructions.
Events for Software Freedom Day
- Create a display to compare freeware/opensource software and license software
- Provide alternatives to typical applications such as office, browser, photoshop, moviemaker.......
- Have hard copies handy in addition to a website to download the software
- Have two laptops to display the software
- Provide a guide on where you can find alternative software
- Create a guide detailing how to convert from Windows to Linux
- Give people ideas on what they can do with their old computers
- Guide to VMW
