Software Freedom Day 2008 in Devonport
We will be demonstrating various types of free software at our sponsor's venue (Wharf IT). There will be a handful of GNU/Linux and free software enthusiasts present and members of the public will be able to take home DVDs or memory sticks which have Linux distributions and other free software loaded. There will possibly also be some discussions, professional networking, installs and hacking going on. Novices and free software experts alike are most welcome. The sponsor would also like to develop an Ubuntu Linux showcase set up for running an Internet cafe, so ideas around this are also most welcome.
