Plan for promoting SFD 2009 in Limestone Coast / Mount Gambier area

Need to develop a [BaseEmail] for use to approach the various bodies requesting that they circulate the information about SFD to their sphere of influence - email lists, newsletters, etc

* Limestone Coast Tourism

Ask Tourism group to send email to the database of Limestone Coast Tourism operators. Need to find out correct name of organisation and a contact person. 38 Commercial St East, 87234742. tourism@thelimestonecoast.com, www.thelimestonecoast.com - email sent by RF 4/9

We may be able to have our SFD listed with the activities for Adult Learners Week (Unencumbered Learning) (1-8 Sept). SEETA is a sub-committee of the Regional Development Board and so SEETA may be the link for LCRDB helping with promotion. LCRDB may be able to get the support of the Mount Gambier and District Council to help with promotion - email sent

What are the constraints for this? How early do we need to have this notice to them? at the latest, 3 weeks before, can start earlier than that. What is the word/character limit? 25 words?? (I have contacted them by phone and followed this up with an email. They seem to think that this is not a community activity and so needs to be a paid advertisement. No reply ATM. hmmm. Their loss. [PR]) Phone call from David at WINTV 12/7 to organise an interview at GHS on 13/7.

another email sent via their online form indicating that there is no budget for this free event

When people come to SFD we need to ask how they heard about the event. This will help with future event organisation.
