4AM TIME TO WAKE UP The forth installation Of The Artist Mosaic project explores the importance of new media in the revolution towards creative independent entrepreneurship.

For the last three years, Artist Mosaic has run a community project that helps local creatives, artist, designers and entrepreneurs explore define and reshape their passion into successful ventures wherein they can sustain themselves and their families. Creating viable business models that enable them to secure support and funding. The project takes the form of a series of events and programs and projects that invites Creative Entrepreneurs to meet the challenges and opportunities that new low-cost or free communication tools and startegies are creating! Specifically targeted towards Brooklyn's Indie design community. We invite interested parties to join our virtual network Revolution begins with education! The first event is a public seminar presented during the Fort Green Fashion groups September Roundtable @ the Bedford branch of the public Library. Another highlight will be a Diaspora networking event where designers will host visiting African Businesses, part of the "Material World" We've been using free or open source software for most facets of our project. Brooklyn Fashion week explores these concepts in a business forum.We hope to create a new format for showcasing, promoting and eventually sales that respects our core tenets Creativity+community+ collaboration =commerce
