2009 Software Freedom Day activities
Place: Bracknell town centre - Location - The Bandstand
Time: 10.00am to 4.00 pm
Activities: Placards display, leaflets handout, CDs handout, discussion Q&A if requested, leaflets to local shops.
Bracknell:
Bracknell has easy parking and railway and bus stations, and the town centre has an obvious main pedestrian area. The event location, the Bandstand, is at this focus and is in view from all directions across the town centre. It is ideal for an eye catching Saturday event.
The town has a monthly Computer Fair and this has a regular 'Infopoint' table displaying Open Source software benefits, and FOSS software and Ubuntu CDs.

Notes: A choice display space in the main shopping mall (Princess Square) has been very kindly donated by a volunteer (much appreciated, thanks). This means that the event will be in a covered and very central location, 20 meters from a popular computer store. Local Cartridge World will print our leaflets (thanks) and it will be easy to offer stuff also into the outside shopping areas too.
