- Thanks to HLCIT for 500 CD's
- Thanks to CIT College for the sponsorship of the Open CDs
- The flyer content is almost ready. Hempal has taken responsibility of Flyers.
- The universities/colleges are taking maximum interest in participating in this event. KU has already sent us an email expressing their eagerness not only to join the event but also provide us with volunteers, if we need. That's the free/open source spirit. Keep it up guys!!
Bikram Shrestha of neolinx (http://neolinx.com.np/) is willing to contribute some amount of money for the cause of Free/Open Source movement. Hats off to Bikram!!

Below is a tentative program for the day:
1. Informal Inauguration - Awareness about FOSS
- Introduction on SFD - Monika
- Importance of this first SFD in Nepal - Akhil
- General Introduction on Free/Open Source - Subir
TEA/COFFEE BREAK
2. Morning Session - around 3-4 tutorials/presentations
- Free/Open Source Software - Subir
- Migration - Basanta
- Linux presentation - KU
- Localization - Srishtee
- Any other interested groups??
- KU presentation will be on:
- o linux installation and deinstallation o using windows programs in Linux with Wine/crossover office o Access windows files automatically o Sharing with windows workstation using samba o Install and manage printers using Cups o Setting up a linux file server o Installing package o Burning CDs using Linux
- Overall facilitation of the session would be done by Akhil
We can accommodate up to 11 stalls in the hall for skill-share session. Food stalls would be arranged in the venue for the event day.
- KU's 2 projects to demonstrate in exhibition- Nepali Messenger and Spacejam (a game) running on Linux platform

BREAK
3. Afternoon Session
After the Break, there would be a movie show (documentary) on FOSS (Revolution OS)
- Distribution of Open CD's and flyers
- Few T-shirts on GNU would be for sale with a logo of KUOSC on it
Please note that side by side, there would be demo and skill-share sessions in the other hall.
