The University of Lagos founded in 1962 is made up of two campuses, the main campus at Akoka, Yaba and the College of Medicine in Idi-Araba, Surulere.
The University's ICT department are no strangers to the Opensource world, because the entire network is built, run and managed by Opensource software. The institution also is prominent member of the NGLUG, and its is used for NGLUG and FOSS activities.
