The Nigerian Linux Users' Group (NGLUG) aims to promote Linux and Open Source awareness in Nigeria by creating opportunities for interested like minded individuals to contribute and share their knowledge with one another via meetings, social events and mailing lists. With increasing numbers of Nigerian businesses and educational institutions using Linux, NGLUG is looking to develop a vibrant and skilled community that will contribute to developing applications designed to cater for our local needs and our primary objectives include;

  1. Evangelizing the benefits of Linux and Open Source Software
  2. Providing an arena for both novice and experienced Linux users to debate and share personal experiences of Linux and indeed, pose those questions they need answering.
  3. Promote projects which leverage the benefits that Linux and Open source presents to overcome some of the I.T deficiencies in Nigerian Institutions
  4. Establishing a support network for Linux users and helping contributors in different Nigerian cities to setup their own local Linux User Group with our aid using the NGLUG.ORG domain name.

The NGLUG is for anyone interested in Linux, Free and Open Source Software. Members, contributions and sponsors are all welcome.
