We are excited to promote and celebrate software freedom day, the first of its kind in Tigray!! To have the greatest impact possible, we will be celebrating this great occasion in MYC, Mekelle Youth Center. Some of the activities for the day include:
1. Presentation about free and open source software.
2. Exhibition of the popular linux distribution, Ubuntu, and OpenOffice.org
3. Discussion of how we can best use free and open source software in our community.
4. Distribute free software to internet cafes, high schools, colleges and government offices.
5. Distribute manuals of where to get and how to use free and open source software.
6. Registration of membership for joining our group.
We are committed to make this day an important milestone for the free and open source software awareness in our locality. Looking forward to meeting you on the day.
