Software Freedom Day
Software Freedom Day (SFD) is an annual worldwide celebration of free and open-source software that started last 2004.
The event is sponsored by the biggest names in FOSS community and IT industry, namely Canonical, Google, Free Software Foundation, Linux Magazine and others.

Due to time conflict (19 is SMU's Intramurals) SMU could not co-organize the event. Luckily, a non-government organization, Ethnotec Management Research and Development Services Organization, Inc. (EMRDSOI) is happy to host the venue.

Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Edwin N. Gonzales (Board Member, PSITE), Saint Mary's University (SMU), School of Computing Sciences and Information Technology (SCSIT) is co-organizing the first Software Freedom Day in Nueva Vizcaya.

GNUeva Vizcayano is organizing the first local party of Software Freedom Day 2009 in Nueva Vizcaya. The global celebration is dated 19th of September 2009
Listed below are temporary events -- we can remove and/or add more. Everybody is encouraged to volunteer as a speaker and share their knowledge on any particular FOSS tools. Some 5 slides for a 5-10 minutes presentation will do.
Events
NOTE: Topics with no assigned speakers are open for anyone to take but anyone can raise up other topics to be discussed.
1. Install Fest
GNU/Linux -- install, upgrade, update or try out GNU/Linux (Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu)
FOSS tools for Windows -- install and try out great FOSS tools like anti-virus, office application, etc.
2. Seminar -- its the "How To Do It With FOSS Tools" tech talk.
