  7. SFDCD2006

Meeting extras and ideas for Sun 8th Jan

The idea of dividing up the committee into a few people to work on each area and to engage as many volunteers on their area as they can. Just an idea to better focus our approach, our efforts and the efforts of volunteers.

  1. Sponsorships and money raising ideas - management and growth

  2. Community building (initiatives to pull people in to do tasks and to rally global support for the day) - getting in the community collective consciousness

  3. Media_and_marketing - this would include creating written collateral for teams to use, looking for marketing/messaging opportunities, and tracking FLOSS events to ensure SFD presence as well as working with industyr rags

  4. Schwag - giveaways and merchandise organisation and distribution to teams and useful marketing events

  5. InfrastructureRoadmap -

Then we could have the website divvied up as above (which is mostly is already) and have a wiki page for each where we also engage with community people willing to help, thus spreading the work between more people more effectively and give newcomers somewhere to go to see what needs doing and what might interest them to help on.

  1. Activities roadmap

  2. Volunteers - for core SFD stuff. People are also encouraged to start their own local team to make SFD rocking locally, globally! :)
