Event: Giving distros on the street, inform people about free software and the party. We have the City Government's permission to make the party on the street. We will see each other from 11.00 h to 19.00 h in Plaça de Catalunya with Bergara street, near the FNAC. We managed to carry two lovely banners. We ordered some sticks as well and T-shirts. All the artwork I did is based in the fabulous drawings from Nicolas Rougier and can be found here.

We realised that people knew about free software, unlike other years when we had a lot of information work. This year we were able to evangelise and we are planning some sort of demonstration/install-party/help desk for next year, as the people's knowledge seems to be high enough.
As usual, we had a good time, got some interesting free software discussions with the community and we are looking forward for next year, on September 20th, 2008.

The event was a big success, with 16 entousiastic volonteers who worked from 10 to 20 h in the very center of the city. We managed to attend nearly 1000 people. The event was anounced in some major internet resources and diaries. Some photos [1] (
