[edit] Draft Program
Friday's activities will look something like this:
- AM - Breakfast Club - Intro to the computers and what they can do ?? Something Fun
- Mid morning - Clinic and General Staff Activities and or other stakeholders eg preschool/primary school/high school
- Lunch - BBQ plus something a bit formal ie welcome
- Afternoon - competitions and activities with more stakeholders
Miwatj has confirmed this schedule and will publicise this effectively in the lead up to the event. [edit] Other things to think on...
- may want to do a basic website structure before we get there ?
The answer this is yes, and Miawatj are forwarding the necessary data to be able to change the website prior to the visit.
- Website should be able to
- o be a brochure - services/activities/announcements o site for downloading health/ information in appropriate languages o have scholl project information ?? o have forum capabillity - for other regional health groups o have links to
OATSIH CENTRELINK, OTHER Aboriginal Health Groups
- current hosting for www.miwatj.com.au doesn't cut it (no PHP, no CGI, no MySQL)
o will arrange to shift them to bur.st (http://www.bur.st) o as an alternative to bur.st I would be happy to donate a year's hosting on the Sydney Web Hosting servers. This may or may not have advantage over using bur.st. In either case a moodle may be of use for setting up community forums, storing documents and running some courses remotely. There are some OpenOffice intro courses ready to go I think. --Geoffrey 07:24, 25 Aug 2005 (BST)
- may want to do something with local languages before we get there in terms of software ?
This is put on hold until Pia and Sokar can meet and develop a strategic plan
- we may need some translators for the Friday activities
Miwatj will try to organise this?
- We need to formalise this process by weeks end if we are to get all this off the ground effectively ie publicity
This is as formal as it gets, we are going and it will get done . [edit] References
