Event: Giving distros on the street, inform people about Free Software and the party.
We had the City Government's permission to make the party on the street. We saw each other from 11.00 h to 19.00 h in Plaça de Catalunya with Bergara street, near the FNAC. We managed to carry two lovely banners. We ordered some sticks as well and T-shirts. All the artwork I did is based in the fabulous drawings from Nicolas Rougier (http://www.loria.fr/~rougier) and it is on ftp://caliu.cat/pub/caliu/traduccions/SoftwareFreedomDay/. The event was a big success, with 16 entousiastic volonteers who worked from 10 to 20 h in the very center of the city. We managed to attend nearly 1000 people. The event was anounced in some major internet resources and diaries. Some photos [1] (

We will try to contact other LUGs in order to organise a big party on September 10th.
