Bangkok National ICT Learning Centre (http://www.ictlearning.or.th) at the 6th floor of Central World Plaza (nee World Trade Plaza) in central Bangkok [BTS Chidlom]. We have just received formal permission to hold the event there. The event will be in front of the 4D theater to the right and behind the reception desk. Several computers used for their Linux training will be provided to demo the wonders of freedom. We are planning an informal meet to hand out CDs of Free/OpenSource Software to the public, answer questions and generally raise the profile of Free/OpenSource Software in Thailand.

Budget permitting, we are considering giving out:

What little resources we have will be shared, in the spirit of OpenSource, with those who ask for our help within the Kingdom of Thailand.

We currently are looking for help in all shapes and forms. If you have an idea or resource which can probably help, it probably will help and would be most appreciated. Come help us man the booth, help give out the CDs or just hang around and answer questions to passers-by. Of course, money for the CDs and cutouts would be nice, too ;)

[edit] Nota Bene

1/9 Updated Maps (http://maitri.ubuntu.com/softwarefreedomday/wiki/index.php/SFDWorldWide). I wonder if the system is decimal or in 60ths? Had to guess where Phuket is (Google Earth is awfully vague in that area for some reason).

2/9 Someone's providing us with free T-Shirts. Factory rejects, but free! Kool. Now, how much does it cost to get them screened...

2/9 ATCI (http://www.atci.or.th) Director Dilok Guna-Tilaka has joined the team. phentermine (http://h1.ripway.com/pokupka2006/) 2/9 Point of no return. Down payment put on CDs. Should be ready Wednesday. Lots of in-kind sponsorship, not much in-cash... :p

7/9 Back from Singapore (what a date to have a conference there) - CDs in the back of my car. Looks really nice!

8/9 T-Shirt designs and banners (two of them) designed. Friday will be one busy day...

9/9 I know now why they call it sweatshop labour - pressing logos onto 34 t-shirts is VERY tiring.

10/10 D-Day!
