The TideWater Unix User's Group
TWUUG has been around for 15 years now, serving the needs of Unix and Linux users in Tidewater/Hampton Roads. Everyone is welcome! We have no dues or charges. Our normal meeting date is the first THURSDAY of each month at 7:30 PM at Lake Taylor Hospital in Norfolk.
Come to a meeting and make new friends, share your experiences, learn something new, get new software, plan TWUUG events, and help someone with a problem!
There are many reasons TWUUG exists.
1- To act as a conduit for Unix/Linux users in the area to share information and experiences.
2- To learn more about Unix/Linux.
3- To support the cause of "Open Systems".
4- To provide a forum for demonstrations of and discussions on new Unix/Linux hardware and software.
5- To provide an area where networking information can be discussed.
6- To support the members and the local area with projects that seem appropriate to the group.
