[edit] Dayton Software Freedom Day 2005 - SUCCESS!

Software Freedom Day was celebrated at Computerfest(R) (http://www.computerfest.com) in Dayton, Ohio this year. We would like thank the Computerfest(R) staff and leadership for their help and support!
This was Dayton, Ohio's first Software Freedom Day. Our team had a great time and a wonderful turnout of interested individuals. Having the celebration at Computerfest(R) really helped expose us to everyone from general computer users, to IT decision makers. Everyone was interested in learning more about free and open source software. Several attendees stated that our booth was the best booth at the show! We spent 7 hours answering general questions, discussing open source, and handing out over 250 copies of TheOpenCD (http://www.theopencd.org). Many users were excited to try a Live Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntulinux.org) CD. Computerfest(R) leadership gave several 50 minute seminars on the use and content of TheOpenCD. We were even interviewed by local public access television (http://www.datv.org) for a program called "Mouse Clicks" which should air sometime soon.
Overall, our team had a very successful Software Freedom Day that made us all walk away feeling very good about spreading the message of free and open source software.
