Southern Fleurieu - Goolwa, South Australia
Software Freedom Day will be a great event not just for the local residents & businesses, but hopefully for any people who are visiting too. We are planning on having some interesting things on for the day so it will be well worth your time to come along and check the event out for yourself. Some of the things that we are considering on planning for the day include:
Interactive tutorials & demonstrations
- Hands on with systems set-up with Linux for you to come and try for yourself
Stands showcasing Linux & Open Source Software, along with some associated goods & services
FREE Linux & Open Source Software CD's, which have been included in a Showbag
Snacks & Drinks (Fundraising Activity; All proceeds go to SFLUG)
- Installation of Linux on your PC, Notebook, etc. (Fundraising Activity; 50% of proceeds go to SFLUG)
Further event details are outlined below:
- 10:00am til 4:00pm
- Centenary Hall, Cadell Street, Goolwa S.A
FREE Entry & Carparking
The venue can be easily found in the 2007/08 Adelaide UBD Street Directory, Map #307, Ref #P5. The Centenary Hall is located on Cadell Street, which is the main street of Goolwa. Also to make it easier to locate the venue, the side street running down the side of the complex is Dawson Street. The Alexandrina Council Offices & Public Library are located adjacent to the Centenary Hall.
There is also plenty of accommodation for people wishing to stay a night or two (Caravan Parks, B&B's, Motels, etc..) & there are plenty of regular travellers, and not to mention locals who can recommend that you will have a great stay.
